ALMR

The ALMR is the only national trade body dedicated to providing a strong, clear voice for managed multiple operators and campaigning on licensed retail issues. 160 member companies operate over 13,000 outlets and employ 350,000 staff. These outlets are primarily pubs and bars but also include casual dining outlets, licensed accommodation providers and nightclubs. ALMR represent all the major multiple licensed retailers down to independent companies.

Arena

We support Arena - the hospitality network - because it helps us, and the rest of the industry, to work together more closely. Peter Backman, Managing Director of Horizons, was a founder and Chairman of Arena.

British Frozen Food Federation

We work with the British Frozen Food Federation because the federation represents the interests of manufacturers, processors and distributors of frozen and chilled food. Together, these sectors represent a significant contributor to the foodservice sector's shopping basket accounting for 35% of caterers' total food purchases in 2007.

Global Restaurant Investment Forum

Horizons are Gold Sponsors of the inaugural GRIF for the restaurant and hospitality community being held in Dubai on 11-12 March 2014. It is the meeting place for investors, hoteliers, owners, lenders, F&B brands, restaurant concepts, franchisors, franchisees, suppliers and other key industry professionals across the region to gain confidence in the market and share best practices with the industry.

Hale Group

The Hale Group is our international advisory food sector partner based in Boston, USA. The Hale Group has a similar philosophy to our own and, in particular, develops fact-based strategies for its clients, translates information and makes it relevant to them. The Hale Group provides proven operational processes that are ultimately geared to implementing targeted growth strategies.

Hospitality Action

For those people who work - or who have worked - in the hospitality sector and who require help, Hospitality Action is an important port of call. We do whatever we can to support the work of HA.

Institute of Hospitality

The Institute of Hospitality, founded as the Institutional Management Association in 1938, is the professional body for individual managers and aspiring managers working and studying in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry. The Institute's reputation as a membership organisation promoting quality standards and education spans more than 100 countries. From students to Fellows, the Institute continues to support members' professional development throughout their careers, wherever they are in the world.

JRA

JRA runs an online panel of catering professionals providing a cost effective research resource for suppliers to the foodservice sector. The company carries out syndicated and ad hoc research across a wide spectrum of issues using the panel and its national field force.

Springboard

Springboard brings young people into the hospitality and tourism industries - to provide career prospects for the young people that it helps and to assist the industry in meeting its needs for motivated and conscientious new recruits. We support Springboard, as much as we are able, in this vitally important task.

The FreeFrom Eating Out Awards

We are delighted to announce our partnership with The FreeFrom Eating Out Awards, the most recent addition to the family of 'freefrom' awards run in conjunction with the Foodsmatter food allergy and intolerance websites. The awards have been launched to raise awareness of the huge opportunities offered by 'freefrom' food within the food service sector, especially once the new allergen declarations affecting food service come into force in December 2014.

Wrap

WRAP works with hospitality and foodservice operators, and their supply chain to help them reduce food and packaging waste as well as increase recycling rates. This will deliver both environmental as well as financial benefits for the sector. We are pleased to be official supporters of WRAP’s Hospitality & Food Service Agreement because it strongly aligns with Horizons’ core values including being good citizens.
