Ones To Watch
Ones To Watch identifies leading edge, small-scale foodservice operator brands and concepts that are emerging onto the high street. The report highlights new growth opportunities for suppliers, operators, distributors and investors and identifies restaurant trends in the UK.
Ones To Watch identifies brands based on innovation, size and growth rate. These brands are collated into a comprehensive report which also provides analysis of the sectors, cuisines and service types which are seeing the most growth. The report is accompanied by an Excel spreadsheet containing details of all the brands mentioned.
Ones To Watch brands are initially identified through Horizons’ Key Brands service (a database of over 4,000 operator brands). This tracks the lifecycle of brands as they emerge on to the foodservice landscape, experience growth or decline and then go on to remain as stalwarts or disappear.
The criteria applied to identify brands for inclusion in Ones To Watch are that they:
- have between 5 and 25 outlets
- are experiencing outlet growth rates of at least 20% over the previous three years combined
- are defined as being in the Restaurant and Quick Service sectors
Ones To Watch is released twice per year, in May and November.
